The School of Paediatric Orthopaedics is a specialised training programme dedicated to orthopaedic residents and young orthopaedic and trauma surgeons who treat children in their clinical practice.
The curriculum covers the most important topics in paediatric orthopaedics, based on current guidelines and the expertise of leading specialists.
As part of the programme, participants take part in:
lectures delivered by experienced paediatric orthopaedic surgeons,
clinical case discussions,
sessions focused on diagnostics and modern treatment methods.
In addition to the main School programme, cadaver training courses are organised as a separate educational module, enabling participants to refine surgical techniques in conditions closely resembling real clinical practice.
The scientific and educational supervision of the School of Paediatric Orthopaedics is provided by the Board of the Polish Society of Paediatric Orthopaedics, and the organisation and coordination of the programme is overseen by:
Błażej Pruszczyński, MD, PhD, Associate Professor at the Medical University of Łódź,
PTOD Representative for the School of Orthopaedics.
This training is an important component in the professional development of future paediatric orthopaedic surgeons and provides knowledge that can be applied immediately in everyday clinical practice.
